Forza Horizon 5: Playground explains how the seasons will work in the new title

One of the most important titles coming out this fall is definitely the highly anticipated Forza Horizon 5 of Playground Games, set in Mexico. The developer released new product information explaining how the transition from one season to another will differ from the previous episode of the series, and how the game's weather system will work which, this time, will make use of 3D particle effects and a wide range of new visual effects.

Creative director Mike Brown explained that unlike FH4 where, with the arrival of a new season, the entire game world had the same climatic conditions, in Forza Horizon 5 the map of Mexico will allow you to have different weather conditions depending on the area in which we arelocated.

Mexico is in fact a country that has huge differences in height and is very extensive, thus presenting very different climates in the different regions for the same season. The playground guys tried to recreate this aspect as faithfully as possible to reality. This means that a season could cause snowfall at the top of a volcano and surrounding mountains, while at the same time creating a heatwave on the coast. The four seasons will affect the settings in different ways and we can obviously do something from a snowy area to one hit by a sandstorm.

The weather events that may occur depending on the season in which we will be will have, according to the development team, really a great impact on the driving experience.

Speaking offree roaming, this promises to be rewarding and interesting: "We want it to be a game that really rewards exploration, a world where there is a lot to find and with a system of challenges that rewards as you explore, giving life to progress even in the Campaign" revealed Brown.

While waiting for more details, we remind you that Forza Horizon 5 will be released on November 9 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
