High On Life 2, the long-awaited sequel to the popular title from Squanch Games, showed itself today in a new gameplay dedicated to the initial stages of the campaign. The game was revealed during the Xbox Showcase at Summer Game Fest, with a launch scheduled for February 13.

The new High On Life 2 gameplay video introduces us to the Pinkline Harbor hub, one of the three hubs that we will encounter at the beginning of the game. The beginning of the movie shows us an encounter with two guards, in which the dialogue options change according to the weapon we wield, with each gun offering a response consistent with his personality. Subsequently, we learn about new mechanics as our character explores Pinkline Harbor aboard a skateboard, with the possibility of grinding on the rails. We get a new skateboard from one of our newly met allies.

The video also includes a side quest in which we will have to rescue a drowning NPC, using our suction cup weapon. After this detour, we resume exploration, jumping between the rooftops and on the tracks of the city to remove one of the posters that portray us as wanted.

The gameplay of High On Life 2 ends once we reach the main quest destination, the Pinkbellies Bar and Grill. To enter the venue, we will first have to find and use two "Lugblobs" to unlock the door.
