2XKO: Riot Games' F2P fighting game arrives on Xbox in early 2026
While there's still no exact release date, we know we won't have to wait too long into the new year to get our hands on this fighter set in the world of Runeterra. The game universe is the same that hosts other famous titles such as League of Legends and the animated series Arcane; At the moment the roster includes 11 champions, but the number is expected to grow over time with new updates.
The game has already debuted on PC through a closed beta that then turned into early access last October. The developers have indicated that, apart from short maintenance periods, the intention is to keep the game online from here on out, constantly evolving it through early access as new content is added, although an exact time window for exiting the early access phase has not yet been defined.
On the technical features front, full support for cross-play and cross-progression has been confirmed. This means that we will be able to play with our friends regardless of the platform used, and anyone who has already started playing on PC will be able to upgrade to the Xbox version bringing with them all the skins unlocked and the progress obtained.
Finally, as far as integration with Microsoft services is concerned, Riot Games has not yet detailed any specific benefits for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, however, many other titles from the studio offer special benefits for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, such as instant access to new characters, so we are waiting to find out if 2XKO will also follow this path in the future.
