Replaced arrives on March 12 and shows itself in a new trailer
The game will take us to an alternate version of America in the 80s, deeply marked by a nuclear catastrophe. At the center of this dystopian world we will find Phoenix-City, a fortress-city controlled by the corrupt Phoenix Corporation, where human life is a bargaining chip and outlaws thrive. In this scenario we will play the role of R.E.A.C.H., an artificial intelligence trapped against its will inside a human body. Our task will be to adapt to this new condition, unraveling the mysteries of the corporation and discovering the ultimate purpose of our creation.
On the gameplay front, REPLACED is proposed as a 2.5D cinematic experience that blends platforming and fast-paced action. We will have to move through dilapidated industrial districts and neon-lit alleys, using a combat system that will require us to chain melee attacks and ranged strikes, always keeping the pace of exploration fluid. All this is supported by an artistic direction that mixes handmade pixel art with modern visual effects and a synth soundtrack, elements that have already led the international press to compare it to great indie classics such as Limbo and Inside.
Yura Zhdanovich, Game Director of the project, wanted to thank the community for their support, admitting that the development took longer than initially expected, but assuring that the team is working hard to repay the patience of players next March.
We leave you with the new trailer that shows us the fascinating settings of the game: enjoy!
