MIO: Memories In Orbit has a release date: it will arrive on January 20th

Focus Entertainment and Douze Dixièmes today announced the launch date for their next game, MIO: Memories In Orbit. This space-themed metroidvania will arrive on January 20, as revealed in a new trailer shown during the PC Gaming Show.

We can already pre-order on the Xbox Store, taking advantage of a 10% discount. The demo of the game is also still available on the Microsoft Store.

The new trailer offered a deeper look at the fascinating environments, dangers, and action that await us in MIO: Memories In Orbit, further immersing us in a sci-fi world that combines a mysterious storyline, challenging action gameplay, and fascinating art direction.

In MIO: Memories In Orbit, we will play as MIO, an agile robot that wakes up on its own aboard the Vessel, a giant spaceship adrift and in ruins. The Vessel, once cared for by the guardian AIs known as the Pearls, is now overrun with wild vegetation and faulty machines. With the ship about to shut down for good, our task will be to explore its labyrinthine depths, recover lost memories and discover the truth behind its collapse.

MIO: Memories In Orbit is developed by Douze Dixièmes, a small French studio known for their acclaimed debut title, Shady Part of Me. In keeping with their creative philosophy, the studio developed MIO in a deeply artisanal way, building the entire experience on a proprietary engine created specifically for the project. This approach allowed the team to freely shape every aspect of the game mechanics, art direction, and atmosphere.

We leave you with the new trailer; enjoy!
