The sci-fi horror game ROUTINE is available in the Game Pass; Launch Trailer
In ROUTINE we will be transported to a "retro-analog" future strongly inspired by the technology of the 80s, with the task of exploring a now silent lunar base to discover the truth behind its mysterious fall.
The experience promises to be highly immersive: thanks to a user interface reduced to a minimum, a diegetic audio and a complete awareness of the protagonist's body, we will have to delve into very different sectors of the station, ranging from abandoned shopping malls to dilapidated housing. During the exploration we will not be alone, but we will come face to face with an enemy convinced that the main threat is us.
To survive and navigate the environment we will rely on the C.A.T. (Cosmonaut Assistance Tool), an essential tool that will allow us to interact with critical terminals, orient ourselves in the map and locate vital clues for the continuation. However, the approach to the clashes will require extreme caution: often the best choice will be to run or hide, using the C.A.T. to defend ourselves from unknown threats only as a last resort.
In addition to the presence in the subscription catalog, it is interesting to note that the title supports the Xbox Play Anywhere feature and turns out to be "Xbox Handheld Optimized", thus ensuring an optimal experience even for those who play on the move.
We leave you to the launch trailer to get an idea of the atmospheres that await us in this dark lunar adventure.
