Rumor, Resident Evil Requiem: a GameStop leak reveals an unexpected playable character
The description of the additional content seems to suggest that in the game we will play the role of Rosemary Winters, the daughter of Ethan and Mia. Although until now the most accredited theory saw the much better known Leon Kennedy alongside Grace Ashcroft as a co-star, the retailer's price list makes explicit reference to cosmetic content for Rose. A "Morphic Visor" filter for Rose's visor and a "Shadow Walker" costume pack with three exclusive outfits for Rosemary Winters are mentioned.
This discovery has obviously sparked the imagination and doubts of the community, especially with regard to the timing of the events. Resident Evil Requiem should be set between 2025 and 2026, a period in which Rosemary should only be 5-6 years old; in fact, it was born in 2020. This has led many to speculate the presence of some kind of time jump within the plot, which will allow us to control it in an adult version, or some other narrative gimmick related to the use of the mysterious "visor" mentioned in the bonuses.
Some users, on the other hand, remain skeptical, speculating that the description may be the result of an error or even generated by AI without a check of the data by GameStop. To find out if we will really have to face new horrors as Rose or if it was a false alarm, we will probably just have to wait for The Game Awards scheduled for the morning (or night, depending on the point of view) of December 12 at 1:30, where Capcom's official plans will probably be revealed.
