Respawn helps Microsoft to further improve Xbox One

The head of design of Respawn Justin Hendry explained that the Titanfall team is actively helping to refine some of the problems of youth of the Xbox One: in particular the developer refers to the sensitivity of the analog sticks of the controller, already very good but that the team was not perfect for a game like what they were doing.

Hendry explained that moving in various directions arrives at the console with a uniform signal but "jerky", and after this feedback Microsoft has prepared an update to the firmware of the pad (which will happen automatically once they are connected to an updated console) that resolves this problem.

But that's not all: Respawn is also working with Microsoft on a new version of the console, upscaler that part that allows you to make up to 1080 p resolutions rendered titles below. It is currently known as the upscaler introduces a high level of aliasing due to excessive sharpening (accentuation of the corners and edges of objects), so much so that Crytek for his Ryse had to use an upscaler owner without resorting to the standard console, with the excellent results that we've all seen. The new upscaler should solve these problems and make the titles rendered in sub-1080 p more pleasant; It is unclear, however, whether initially will be used only by Titanfall or it will benefit others already released titles such as CoD Ghosts.

Last interesting information related to the topic of scaling, is that Titanfall is rendered internally at 792p/60 fps 720 p instead of the previously stated; the team asserts, however, that with the latest finishes you could get to a resolution close to 900 p.
