IO Interactive has released a new video dedicated to 007 First Light, allowing us to take a deeper look at this original reinterpretation of the origins of the world's most famous spy. In this chapter we will play the role of a young Bond at the beginning of his journey, in the period before the tuxedo, the famous martinis and the acquisition of his status as a double-zero agent.

The story will lead us to discover the moment when James is recruited into MI6 to enter the 00 program, putting him in front of situations that will test not only his physical abilities, but also his judgment and resolve. We'll experience the pivotal moments that defined the beginning of his career, exploring the high-stakes relationships and missions that forged his reputation. Among these, his first exploits in Iceland will bring him to the attention of the secret services as a potential recruit for the newly reinstated program.

Despite his inexperience and a sometimes reckless character, in 007 First Light we will have to quickly adapt to the rules of the new government environment. Bond will find an unexpected ally in M, who will be able to recognize his potential as an agent capable of taking control in desperate situations and completing objectives by any means necessary. On the contrary, we will soon clash with the rigid philosophy of John Greenway, a former 00 agent in charge of training, whose disciplined approach will conflict with our instinctive and improvised style in the field.

The plot will see us engaged in hunting 009, a former British operative turned renegade on the loose. This manhunt will take us to various areas of the globe, from the silent Carpathian Mountains to the dangerous black market of Aleph, ruled by the unpredictable Bawma, played by Lenny Kravitz. As for the gameplay, the developers have mixed the typical tension of espionage with the typical spectacle of the franchise: we will have to face more guided narrative segments that will alternate with open areas, where we will have greater freedom in approaching the objectives, rewarding our creativity and initiative.
