Xbox Mode begins its release on Windows 11 PCs today
After carefully analyzing the feedback on the full-screen interface previously introduced on portable devices, the company has in fact announced the debut of the new Xbox mode. Starting today, within select markets, the update will begin to reach Windows 11-equipped PCs spanning laptops, desktop and tablet configurations. Over the next few weeks, the release will gradually expand to involve an increasingly large slice of the public.
The focus of this novelty is to ensure more immersive and distraction-free gaming sessions in the backgroundtag. Since it is a native function, we will still maintain the total flexibility and openness of PC gaming: we will be able to jump in an instant from Xbox mode to the classic Windows 11 desktop at any time we deem appropriate.
To be sure to receive the update as soon as it is ready for our hardware, we will simply have to check the settings for receiving system updatestag. Just open the Settings of our Windows 11 PC, go to the Windows Update section and finally activate the option to get the latest updates as soon as they are available. Once the download is complete, we'll be ready to dive straight into this new, optimized environment and start playing. Microsoft explains that it will use this opportunity to collect our feedback and further improve the Xbox experience on PC.
