Those who play today do so on several fronts: consoles, home-assembled PCs, portable and mobile devices. This audience is aimed at Aeon Pro, the new high-end wireless controller with which SteelSeries takes advantage of its long experience in the field.

The feature that the manufacturer puts in the front row is the QuickSwitch Dock, a charging base that also acts as a wireless receiver, which allows you to move from PC to XBOX in an instant, without reassociation procedures: according to SteelSeries it is the first system of its kind in the world, and is currently patent pending. The theme of continuity also returns in the power supply, entrusted to the Infinite Power system with dual hot-swappable batteries, designed to never leave us short of energy in the middle of a session.

On the control front we find analog sticks with Hall Effect technology, which ensure constant precision over time without false contacts, quality triggers and mechanical switches distributed over the entire surface, for a quick and tactile response. To complete the picture there is an integrated OLED display, from which we can recall customized profiles on the fly.

Physical customization, on the other hand, passes through a modular system of interchangeable sticks, available in standard concave, high concave and short convex versions, which when not needed can be stored directly in the dock. Then there are the shaped rear buttons, which can be remapped with the functions we consider most important and configurable both on PC and XBOX through the OLED menu, while the knurled grip with a textured surface wraps the hand to ensure a firm grip even in the most agitated phases.

The finer tuning work takes place in the SteelSeries GG software suite, which allows you to intervene on every single button, trigger and profile. From here we can adjust the intensity of the vibration of the four motors, remap the functions, manage the integrations with the GG ecosystem and with the Sonar suite and, on PC, touch the power settings.
