Knights Peak and Windup Games have finally lifted the veil on the release date of Hela: of Mice & Magic; their dreamy open-world adventure will be available from December 1, 2026, and will be included in the XBOX Game Pass from launch day. Accompanying the announcement is also an unreleased CGI narrative trailer, which gives us a first look at the enchanted world imagined by the studio.

In Hela: of Mice & Magic we will take on the role of a mouse as petite as agile, called to help a kind and distrustful witch to take care of the land she has been protecting for generations. She will be the one to entrust us with a backpack steeped in magic, a tool that will allow us to go deeper into exploration, to reach higher points and to interact with the environment in new and, at times, simply relaxing ways. We will be able to move alone or in company, crossing very different scenarios such as forests, meadows, wetlands and underground burrows.

The footage just released serves above all to define the emotional tone of the operation: an open world steeped in folklore and silent wonder, a place that appears endless but in which it is the smallest heart that beats faster.
