Milestone announces MotoGP 23, arrives in May

Milestone today announced the new annual iteration of its motorcycle simulator with MotoGP 24, scheduled to arrive on May 2; New this year is the addition of the riders' market and the MotoGP Stewards.

Here is the official information, the announcement trailer and a set of images.

Marc Márquez's move from the Repsol Honda team to the independent MotoGP team Gresini, riding a Ducati, was a jolt for MotoGP, and from now on these twists and turns will also land on consoles. In fact, the driver market will open up endless possibilities, as drivers will be able to switch from one team to another. This will mean that each season will start with a different roster, and players will not only compete to win races and championships, but also to find a new spot or keep the current one. Likes and replies on the fictitious social network will fuel rumors about possible driver transfers.

The new MotoGP Stewards will instead be responsible for monitoring the race and any timed sessions during the weekend, penalising riders and AI based on their behaviour on the track. From simple warnings, to long laps or time penalties, to orders to let pass in case of incorrect overtaking, to the cancellation of the qualifying time, both players and the AI will incur penalties if they break the rules. Misconduct can also have consequences for rivalries with other drivers.

The rider market and MotoGP Stewards will offer players the most dynamic career mode ever developed in a MotoGP game, complementing the new design introduced in the previous chapter.

Most important of all is Milestone's commitment to providing fans with the best possible gaming experience, which has led to the introduction of a new "adaptive difficulty" system. The system will dynamically adjust the difficulty of the opponents according to the player's performance, in this way, the difficulty of the game will be adapted to the abilities of each one. MotoGP 24 will offer an amazing gaming experience for both novice and experienced players.

AI and physics will also offer substantial improvements. The AI has been refined to replicate real drivers' approach to racing. The former world champions will leverage their experience, waiting before making the winning pass. Rookies will be looking to prove their worth right from the start. On the physics side, a new electronic tuning system has been designed to better manage corner entry and exit, improving power delivery to control rear wheel slip and the bike's tendency to wheelie. Another important aspect is tyre management, which has been revised to ensure the usability of all compounds on the various tracks, while maintaining a distinct feeling for each type of tyre.

The online section of MotoGP 24 will also be enriched by the LiveGP Championships, a new multiplayer mode designed for the most competitive players. These are seasons made up of a certain number of LiveGPs; players will have to climb the overall championship leaderboard by earning points in each LiveGP they participate in. As for the online experience, cross-play will allow you to take to the track and race regardless of the platform and console generation, starting from day one. In addition, 2-player local split-screen is confirmed in the PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam versions to allow for side-by-side challenges with friends.

Finally, thanks to four powerful editors for helmets, stickers, race numbers and patches, players will be able to unleash their imagination and share their creations online, even cross-platform.
