Microsoft announces Limited Edition controllers for Gears of War: E-Day
The Gears of War: E-Day Limited Edition Wireless Controller features a visibly battle-worn aesthetic designed to recall the brutality of the Locust invasion. Inspired by the worm holes that ravage the planet, the body features laser engravings and 3D moldings that reproduce split asphalt, from which bright red cracks emerge that show the iconic Crimson Omen. The ABY buttons are completely black, broken only by the transparent red X button, coordinated with the rear triggers, the D-Pad and the buttons for the system menus, also transparent red. The battery compartment door features a dark silver metal COG plate engraved with "Never Fight Alone. Squad up", while the rear grips are as usual equipped with a non-slip surface. The controller can be booked at the price of 89,99 Euros on Amazon, while stocks last, and will be in your hands on September 30th.
For those who prefer an even more unique and personalized touch, however, also from September 30 we will be able to access XBOX Design Lab to create our personalized version of the pad, decorated with illustrations by heavy metal artist Luke Preece. The central element of the front depicts a skull placed on top of two crossed Lancers, surrounded by details of the clashes between the COGs and the Horde. In this case we can customize the peripheral by adding triggers and directional cross with a metallic finish, rubberized grips for the back and sides, up to the insertion of a personalized text engraving.
These new controllers will allow us to carry a piece of Sera directly into our hands before going into battle: admire them in the following video.
