Starfield, the Lead Designer: players will go crazy

If you love RPGs and science fiction, especially the most "serious" and hardcore, you are probably already consumed by the wait for Starfield, the new Bethesda title coming at the end of the year exclusively xbox. We therefore take the opportunity to push the flame of hype to the maximum with an interesting statement by Emil Pagliarulo, the Lead Designer of the game.

Pagliarulo has been part of the US software house for 19 years, following a brilliant career that has seen him work on titles such as TES Morrowind, Skyrim and Fallout 3, up to Starfield as director of design. In an interview on the Bethesda website, he recounted an interesting moment in his work, when everything that has been developed begins to work as a single gear and manages to amaze his own creators:

"It was exciting to witness the process that led Starfield, little by little, to become the wonderful game that it is, also considering how much was created from scratch. There is a stage, in the development of a game, in which everything seems like a meaningless jumble, especially at the beginning, because... Guess what? That's just how game development works! But then you get to a point where the systems really start working and everything seems to consolidate into a well-defined amalgam and the vision that guided you when you started this crazy journey begins to materialize. When this happened with Starfield, I thought, "Oh. Oh, wow. Yes... It is... it's something really special. The players will go crazy." Now we just have to finish it!"

When a project manages to amaze the chief designer himself, expectations can only rise: we can't wait to find out more and finally be able to try out what Pagliarulo is convinced will drive us crazy!
