Xbox, comes april update with game suspension to speed up downloads

Microsoft informs us about the release of the Xbox April update, this time quite light but containing an interesting feature to speed up downloads. Let's start with two minor features: the first is the return of Goals for All on the Xbox Mobile App, allowing us to keep our progress with Xbox titles at hand, wherever we are.

Another novelty is related to the Game Pass area on the console: here we will now find new blocks that advise us on the titles played by our friends, so as to find new opportunities to have fun in company, and that suggest new titles to try based on titles based on titles based in the past.

Finally, the feature we mentioned earlier: on Xbox Series X and S it will now be possible to put the currently running game on hold, which will speed up active downloads since they are normally slowed down by the console when there is an active game. Until now the only option to speed up a download with the console turned on was to close the active game, while now you can suspend it so you can restart it whenever we want via the Quick Resume feature.

For this update the news ends here: we are waiting for future improvements to our consoles!
