Microsoft announced today that Xbox Preview program members from the Alpha - Skip Ahead and Alpha rings have received a new update that will allow them to test the free wait for multiplayer in free-to-play titles,which will no longer require Live Gold or Ultimate Pass to be played.

Redmond's company has also announced that, in support of this feature, two additional features will be released from gold: The Party Chat and the Looking for Group,currently reserved for paying users. It would be unlikely to allow everyone to play F2P titles, only to block them when they want to get in touch with other players because they don't have gold.

Given the start of this testing, it is possible that as early as April, or at most in May, these features will be made completely free for all users. We will keep you updated!
