MechWarrior 5 arrives on Xbox exclusively console on May 27

If you love robottons and mech fights, here's the news you've been waiting for: Piranha Games today announced that MechWarrior 5: Mercenarieswill arrive on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on May 27 in exclusive console. The game was released for PC at the end of 2019 collecting good acclaim, and we can finally play it on our consoles as well.

The game recently entered the PC Game Pass last year, but for now we have no information on whether it will also be present in the service for Xbox or if it will initially be released only for sale and maybe, after a few months, it will enter the service as happened on PC.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is a single player title in which we impersonate a mech pilot (a MechWarrior,in fact) in a future in which humanity has colonized space and different factions vie for territories using imposing robots as means of combat giving rise to long conflicts. In this context, we will impersonate Commander Mason, a mercenary seeking revenge for his father's death. Mason is a mercenary, and we will then see him fight for various factions while pursuing his purposes.

The game will include dozens of pilotable mechs, from lightweight models like the Javelin, fast and sometimes equipped with jetpacks to make big leaps, to devastating but slow heavy mechs like the Marauder. These vehicles can only be piloted both personally, with a view from the cockpit, and in the third person.

We hope to be able to see some footage soon showing us the game shooting on Xbox!
