It's official: The Halo Infinite multiplayer will be free-to-play and support the 120 fps

After yesterday morning's leak, Microsoft decided to put an end to the speculation by confirming on Twitter that yes, the multiplayer sector of Halo Infinite will be free-to-play and playable therefore freely by anyone, even those who do not own the game or game pass, and will support the 120 fps on Xbox Series X. It will therefore be the first first-person shooter to support such a high refresh rate on consoles, providing unprecedented image stability and responsiveness, of course only on monitors and TVs that support such refresh frequency.

The news is certainly revolutionary and very important for the world of Halo: this means that the Campaign and the multiplayer (which we expect also includes the new Forge completely renovated), will follow two parallel paths, with separate improvements and updates. Microsoft therefore goes ahead with its intention to make Halo a real platform, to evolve over the years with continuous expansions rather than releasing new games of the series. It will be very interesting to discover the future of the two sides of the game in the months and years after launch!
