Publisher Kalypso Media and development firm Gaming Minds Studios today announced that the real-time strategy game Port Royale 4 will be released on Xbox One September 25. This fourth installment of the series will allow us to take on the role of a young and ambitious governor, eager to learn how to reign and develop his small settlement to turn it into a hectic commercial city. Upgrade production chains by connecting multiple islands and create complex trade routes from one part of the Caribbean to another, meeting the growing needs of cities. Rely on the painstaking naval map to avoid stormy areas, cliffs or shallow water. Complete the missions of your nation's viceroy, gaining fame to unlock urban structures, ships and more. Conquer the cities of rival nations or hunt down their fleets with a branded letter, while remaining on guard against pirates and other privateer ships.

For the first time in the series, naval battles will be in turns, with up to 10 ships per combat and tactical captain's maneuvers capable of turning their fortunes even in the most desperate of situations to achieve glorious victory.
