Mortal Kombat 11: all the details from the event reveal, ad Kollector's Edition

After showing yesterday the many videos from the event reveal of Mortal Kombat 11 , we present now the most valuable information that emerged from long live. From what has been said and shown by developers can already give us a clear idea about the history of the game, the gameplay and the first characters and stage revealed, pending the release more information.

We start from the story : NetherRealm focuses on travel in time to show us a diverse cast of characters and especially in their versions from the different epochs of MK. The story starts after the killing of Shinnok by Dark Raiden in MK X, apparently an event that changed the course of the time as it was intended by the game's main villain, Kronika , which is forced to intervene by freezing time. This will give way to a plot in which the various combatants will meet themselves in other time periods, thus giving life to fighting between different versions of the characters we know.

In terms of gameplay , the game will introduce a number of new and returning features from previous episodes:

  • Variants of the characters : for each character you can create a different variation to use in the game, with some of them already as defaults for launch. These will allow us to modify the introductory animation, the victory pose, the taunts used by wrestler and perhaps even the fatality/brutality used along with some extra moves, as well as various parts of the costume to customize its appearance. In addition to this you can also change the outfits and the color of the characters.
  • Bars -instead of a single slash, this time there will be two bars, arranged with an angled design, which control the offensive and defensive capabilities, in addition to the mechanics of the fatal blow.
  • Fatal Blow ( Fatal Blow )-a new mechanism that activates when our opponent has low health remaining. Pressing the two triggers will activate a move extremely gory and able to inflict much damage. This move can be used only once per match.
  • X-Ray Animations -are no longer linked to super moves, but they can be a part of normal moves during combat. They're called "crushing blows" (broken strokes) and are unlikely to cause much damage, but each of these will be usable once per match.
  • Perfect Block ( Flawless Block )-pressing the lock at the right time, we will expose our opponent at one blow back.
  • Race -the characters can no longer run: you can only make shots, walk and run hops as countermoves against low blows.
  • Classic Feature -the features seen in the series as the interactivity scenarios, the class system, the Fatality and the Brutality they'll all their return, borrowing also some element of the other number of NetherRealm, 2 injustice.
  • Weapons -these will make their way back massively, as well as accessories can be equipped for the wrestlers, with a system similar to that of Injustice 2.
  • Brutality -NetherRealm promises that this will be the most brutal and violent Mortal Kombat seen so far.

As for the playable characters , the following have been revealed so far but it seems that the launch will be 25 in all , probably including pre-order or DLC: Scorpion, Baraka, Raiden, Geras (new character capable of Teleport and to slow down or speed up the game time), Scarlet, Sonya, sub-zero, Kabal, Liu Kang (revenant), Shao Kahn, Kitana and Kano.

The stage shows at the event are a yard full of dead monks, a military base, an area outside of a Fort or a temple and inside it, a ship and a bar. It is thought that there are 17 stages in total, but again some may arrive with DLC.

It's finally been revealed a Kollector's Edition of the game, for now only announced in USA and exclusive Steelbook GameStop chain, which includes a matte black, a magnet with the logo of the series and a full scale reproduction of the mask with hood Scorpion. The you can see below:
