Microsoft confirms the self-publishing for independent titles on Xbox One

After that Game Informer had published a rumor about it, Microsoft has come out into the open, abandoning the usual approach "does not comment on rumor and speculation" ( also this fruit of new management? ) confirming that Yes, Xbox One will allow independent developers to publish their games on Live, but are not limited to: any holder of the new console can potentially be one video game developerSince it will not have a Dev Kit to develop but you can safely use the console.

In a note at the end, Marc Whitten has explained that the games so made may take advantage of Xbox Live, Kinect, and the target system exactly as it does for major titles, and that will be easily searchable and accessible from the console interface. More details will be released during the GamesCom from 20 August: the announcement was supposed to be one of the surprises of the German trade fair, but Game Informer broke the eggs in the basket to Microsoft revealing it all ahead of time.

However, this is good news for all those developers who were concerned about many limitations to present on the Xbox 360 and it just seems that disappear on the new console: Please see at GamesCom for more details on this topic.
