Rumor: Microsoft will allow auto-publication independent developers on Xbox One

A Xbox 360 aspects-and the future Xbox One-more challenged by independent developer is unable to auto-publish their games on Xbox Live without having to vote for a publisher like EA, Ubisoft and Microsoft itself. Many have asked for the ability to publish its own games as already happens on Apple Store, Google Play or the same Windows Microsoft Store, but for now were heard despite previous rumor point to an imminent announcement.

It seems, however, that the situation is about to change: the website GameReactor refers in fact to have spoken with an independent developer with several games, which claims to have received from Microsoft guidance on a new self-publishing system dedicated to small studios. According to the developer, this system will provide only small studies, i.e., those formed by two or three developers, while the larger and more structured studies should continue to rely on publishers.

In this category of "small developers" are, however, many of those who have posted extremely innovative titles like Braid (1 Developer), Limbo (2 developers) and many others, so if confirmed this move by Microsoft would allow the arrival on the Live of many original and innovative titles, though for now it is unclear whether this will be only for Xbox 360 or Xbox One. We just have to wait if the thing will materialize: keep on following us.
