Ecco un'altra gradita sorpresa che Microsoft ci ha riservato per i festeggiamento del 20° anniversario di Xbox: oltre 70 giochi provenienti dal catalogo della prima Xbox ed Xbox 360 sono stati oggi resi retrocompatibili, diventando così pienamente giocabili su Xbox One e Xbox Series X | S.

Tra questi troviamo alcuni titoli di assoluto rilievo come i vari episodi delle serie Max Payne e F.E.A.R., Skate 2, Dead or Alive Ultimate, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, Star Wars: Starfighter e Otogi.

Tutti i titoli aggiunti oggi possono godere di miglioramenti grafici grazie all'Auto HDR, mentre 11 di questi, inclusi F.E.A.R., F.E.A.R. 3, Binary Domain e NIER ricevono l'FPS Boost per un gameplay a 60 fps. Microsoft ha inoltre annunciato l'aggiunta dell'FPS Boost a 26 titoli già retrocompatibili, come l'intera saga di Gears of War, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Dragon Age: Origins, Dead Space 2 & 3, Alan Wake e Sonic Generations.
