As anticipated by the rumors of the past few weeks and recently announced by EA, Battlefield Studios have finally released Battlefield REDSEC, the new free-to-play Battle Royale experience set in the Battlefield 6 universe. The launch, which coincides with the start of Season 1, has just taken place, and the game is free to download from the Store.

Battlefield REDSEC takes us to Fort Lyndon, a huge secret military facility located in Southern California. Camouflaged between pristine beaches and a quiet residential community, this location hides some of the most advanced military projects in the world, and our goal will be to take possession of these secrets, defying time and opposing teams.

The Battle Royale mode promises to deliver everything we love about the franchise, bringing Battlefield's iconic DNA to the genre. We can expect frantic teamwork, tense moments, and most importantly, large-scale tactical destruction. In fact, we will have the opportunity to make our way to the sound of explosions, demolishing enemy positions to obtain a decisive strategic advantage. The developers also promise "the deadliest ring ever seen in a BR".

But Battlefield REDSEC isn't just Battle Royale. The free pack also includes Gauntlet, a ruthless new elimination mode where different teams compete to complete missions and survive. Finally, REDSEC offers unprecedented access to Portal's large sandbox, giving us the ability to create unique and unforgettable experiences for free.
