Halo Studios will reveal new Halo projects in October
The studio wanted to address fans directly, acknowledging recent rumors. "In recent weeks there has been a lot of speculation about when and where more details might emerge about one of the multiple projects that Halo Studios is actively working on," the statement reads. "We don't usually comment on those issues, but this time we want to get into the conversation and share a perspective for Halo fans." The invitation is clear: to get official news on what the studio has been working on, the appointment not to be missed is this year's Halo World Championship.
For Halo Studios it is a matter of continuing a discourse that has already begun. During last year's event, in fact, they had presented the video "A New Dawn", announcing the transition to Unreal Engine 5 and the transformation of the studio from 343 Industries to Halo Studios, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the saga. "For us, 'A New Dawn' was just the beginning," the studio continues, "and at this year's World Championships we can't wait to continue the conversation."
On that occasion, the development team had confirmed that it had "multiple projects in the works". Pierre Hintze, head of the studio, had emphasized this desire for renewal: "If you analyze Halo, there were two very distinct chapters. Chapter 1 - Bungie. Chapter 2 - 343 Industries. Now, I think we have an audience hungry for novelty. So we're not just going to try to improve the efficiency of development, but to change the way we make Halo games. Today we begin a new chapter."
So we just have to mark the dates on the calendar: the Halo World Championship will take place in Seattle from October 24 to 26, 2025, and that will be the setting in which we will find out what the future of Master Chief holds for us.
