FromSoftware today released the launch trailer for Elden Ring Nightreign, the new PvE co-op spin-off (but also playable solo) of the famous souls-like action-RPG, arriving on May 30th.

Elden Ring Nightreign is a variant with roguelite elements of the original Elden Ring in which players, in teams or alone, will have to survive a cycle of three days and three nights. During this time, they will be called upon to make strategic decisions regarding combat and exploration within dynamic maps, with the aim of powering up enough to defeat the bosses that will appear at the end of each day.

The game will offer a choice of eight distinct characters, each with unique abilities and powerful Ultimates. The setting of Elden Ring Nightreign will be Limveld, where players will have to deal with a night-day cycle that will see the map shrink due to the advance of the "Night's Tide", the night tide, a phenomenon well illustrated in the launch trailer. However, FromSoftware was keen to point out, to reassure fans about the consistency with the Elden Ring universe, that this new chapter takes place in a parallel reality to the events of the game in 2022.
