Rumor: 343 has not started any development to expand the Halo Infinite Campaign

After the recent news on the wave of layoffs in Microsoft, a rumor began to circulate in recent days regarding the cancellation of the Halo Infinite history DLC, which reliable sources have however denied explaining that in reality there was no DLC story in development.

And this is perhaps even more dire news for Halo fans, as we were all waiting for news on how the game's Campaign would evolve. The news comes from journalists Jason Schreier and Jez Corden, who on separate occasions reported that they had news that 343 Industries never started developing new content for the Campaign, in fact denying the recent rumor that 343 would have canceled such developments: impossible to cancel something that never started.

The two journalists then confirmed the studio's focus on multiplayer and "live services", while they did not express themselves on the part of the rumor that would like 343 to entrust external studios with the development of new experiences related to the story. We will have to wait for future announcements to know if and when we can live the adventures of Master Chief again, but at present that moment seems rather distant in time.
