Crystal Dynamics announces end of support for Marvel's Avengers

Since the beginning, the life of Marvel's Avengers, the GaaS action-adventure from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix, has not been easy: fans did not like the artistic direction that presented us with heroes that did not correspond to their images both comics and cinematic, while the gameplay was not as satisfying as many expected.

It was therefore surprising to see how the game was supported for more than two years with the release of new heroes with the related storylines: we do not know if this was due to a contractual obligation towards Marvel or if there was a real desire to straighten out the fate of the title, but in any case for those who had bought it the opportunities to return to the title were not lacking.

It's no surprise that Crystal Dynamics has now announced the end of support and development on the game, but fear not because you can continue playing it without problems. The team has in fact explained that Marvel's Avengers will receive a final update March 31, 2023, which will make changes to the balance and deactivate the Game Market. Premium currency will be converted into in-game currency for all players who own it, and Market cosmetic items, expeditions and challenge cards will be given away free of charge.

Crystal Dynamics will continue to support the game until September 30, 2023, after which it will be removed from the stores and there will be no more support for game issues. However, the game servers will remain active "indefinitely" and players will be able to continue playing without problems.

We remind you that, if you want to try the game, this is currently available on Xbox Game, and for now we do not know if it will be removed from the service as a result of these developments. If you want to keep it, it is recommended to buy it before September 30th, so as to keep it permanently: we will inform you if there will be particularly tasty discounts before that date.
