The Italians Infinity Experience present us the action-platformer Chronicles of 2 Heroes

The Florentine studio Infinity Experience has announced the development of Chronicles of 2 Heroes: Amaterasu's Wrath, an action-platformer with metroidvania elements set in feudal Japan and rendered with 16-bit graphics. The game presents us with two heroes, a Samurai and a Kunoichi, between which we can switch in real time at any time, to take advantage of their different abilities during the adventure.

The Samurai wields a katana and is a perfect war machine, but lacks the ability to jump and attack from a distance. Kunoichi, on the other hand, is as fast as it is fragile, and uses ninjutsu and ranged attacks. The game will therefore see us constantly change the protagonist to adapt our style of play to the challenges they will face us.

This is the story of the game and the features provided by the developers:

The wrath of Amaterasu has dragged Japan into a time of wars, famines and epidemics. His disciple, Empress Imiko, rules Japan with an iron fist and imposes terror with her powerful army. All hopes are pinned on two brothers, Kensei the samurai and Ayame la kunoichi, who will fight to restore peace to the country. Thanks to their skills and the people they will meet during the journey, the two protagonists will enter the imperial capital of Osaka to steal the three sacred treasures, a source of power for the empress.

Features

  • Versatile real-time character change system that allows players to use different skills and combos.
  • Fight against ronin, yokai and countless enemies inspired by Japanese mythology.
  • Skill system with more than 20 unlockable skills.
  • Collectibles and hidden areas invite players to play levels more than once to achieve 100% completion.
  • Stunning pixel art and exciting 16-bit action developed with Unreal Engine 4.
  • Estimated game duration between 8-12 hours.

The game is expected during the year, a Kickstarter campaign will soon start to finance its development and on Steam there is already a demo to be able to try it out for yourself. We leave you now to a trailer that shows us the gameplay: good vision.
