CD Projekt RED: Cyberpunk 2077 will be better on new consoles, upgrade "robust" in 2021

After yesterday's announcement of Cyberpunk 2077's November slide, many have questioned whether the proximity of the release to the supposed launch of the new next-gen consoles could mean better game optimization for the latter. In a recent conference call, CD Projekt RED CEO Adam Kicinski answered these questions.

Kicinski explained that the game will obviously also run on the new consoles thanks to the backward compatibility offered by both, adding that it will look better on these hardware, but without going into the technical details.

However, the CEO has made it clear that these first improvements will only be a start, because in 2021 there will be a more "robust" free upgrade that will introduce a series of optimizations that will bring the game to the height of the new hardware.

Unfortunately, it has not been clarified when the next-gen update will arrive, whether at the beginning of the year or later. We await news on this!
