Bloomberg: E3 cancelled, a streaming event is assessed

Given the current health emergency, it was inevitable:the E3 was cancelled. The influential financial magazine Bloomberg reports that the organizers of the most important video game show of the year, theEntertainment Software Association, have contacted publishers and software houses to inform them of the decision, with an official statement coming tonight at 6:30 p.m.

However, in the note sent to the participants of the event, ESA explains that it is considering the possibility of an alternative event, to be streamed exclusively online, this summer.

At the moment there is no news of how the different producers and publishers will handle the situation: Sony was already out of the show, while EA and Microsoft as in previous years would not have participated in the arena of the Los Angeless Conference Center but through separate events organized nearby: it is likely that these too will be closed to the public, instead turning to ads and shows exclusively online.

We'll keep you updated on developments as statements and announcements from various publishers and developers arrive. Stay tuned!
