Brad Sams: Predictions on Microsoft's E3

The American journalist Brad Sams, known for having leaked many news about Xbox in the past, has published on the site Thurrott.com an article with his predictions on what Microsoft will show and announce at the Xbox Conference of 9 June.

The article is not classifiable exactly as a leak nor as a rumor, but rather as an "informed prediction" of what might be announced; The reporter explains that, after talking with many people in the industry and several Microsoft insider, he got an idea of what could happen. So here's your predictions.

Let's start from the HardwareFront: Of course, everyone expects Microsoft to start removing, albeit partially, the Veil from Project Scarlett, the new line of consoles arriving at the end of 2020. Sams explains that Microsoft will probably not reveal the exact specifications of the new consoles, because they are still subject to change, but we'll provide "performance multipliers" to make us understand the differences in power compared to the current consoles. The reporter heard that the high-end console, codenamed Anaconda, will be shown as being powerful at least twice as high as Xbox One X, while that Low-end, Lockhart, will be powerful about 4 times Xbox One S. This means, by making the corresponding accounts, that the two consoles should have a graphical power of 12 and 5.6 TFLOP respectively, but this does not take into account the performance increase OF the CPU, which should be even higher.

Sams then explains that Microsoft will emphasize the architectural innovations of the console, such as the Integrated SSDdisk, The Navi GPU, the Zen CPU 2 and so on. It also seems that the new consoles, at least the high end, will be able to run natively the titles Xbox One X improving performance and features.

On the front of the games, however, Sams explains that we will see both a trailer and the gameplay of Halo Infinite, as Well as information about Age of Empires And Some details about the new Fable; It also seems that at least 3 NEW IPs will be announced by Xbox Game Studios. Of course there will also be Gears 5, which will be devoted a lot of space, and other titles more or less known.

About Halo Infinite The reporter explains that Microsoft will take advantage to show us the next-gen version of the game, performing THE demonstration on a PC (presumably with features similar to those of Anaconda) and controllers Xbox. But in addition to showing many first-party titles, it seems that this Conference will also have the best presence of third-party games ever seen in the history of E3.

Sams then mentions other contents of the event: we will obviously show the Xcloudstreaming platform, which according to the journalist will be more powerful THAN THE 10.7 Tflop declared by Google stadia, and will also talk about the SUPPORT to the gaming PC .

As mentioned initially, do not take all this as a real leak but more like predictions based on information gathered over time: Will it all come true? Will there be other surprises or differences compared to what has been said? We'il find out in a few days!
