Rumor: The Call of Duty this year will be called... Modern Warfare

As we know the studio Infinity Ward is busily at work, since 2016, to the new Call of Duty coming this year, which according to some rumor will be a new episode Of the Modern Warfareseries. Today we discover, through Kotaku journalist Jason Schreier, that the game will be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Yes, the new title will be called its own, or almost, as the title of Infinity Ward released in the far 2007. The "almost" is due to the fact that that game was actually called Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, while the title of the new game does not include (of course) the 4. It does not matter if in the meantime the CoD: Modern Warfare 2 and 3 have also emerged.

Schreier reveals it on Twitter, taking up the post Of a YouTuber who affirmed the same thing and confirming the news, stressing the irony of the fact that the first Modern Warfare had the 4 in the title while this, which will be the fourth of the series, not He will.

The journalist seems very convinced of the information, so it would seem safe, but until Activision's official confirmation is to be considered a pure rumor: We await the announcement of the game to find out if so, and maybe even the reason for this title!
