Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt RED teams up with a studio specializing in multiplayer and cloud

Here's an unexpected news: CD Projekt RED has just announced that it has partnered with the Canadian study Digital Scapes for collaboration in the development of Cyberpunk 2077 . Studying Digital Scapes consists of Veterans of BioWare, Relic and Radical Entertainment, and mainly specializes in the development of cloud-based computing and multiplayer titles, as well as on the realization of development tools and assets.

Michał Nowakowski, Vice President of CD Projekt RED for business development, says the partnership: " Cyberpunk 2077 is our most ambitious project to date and we work hard every day to make it a success is that technology. The team brings talented Digital Scapes onboard experience and specialist knowledge, and I am confident that our long-term cooperation will add much to the game. "

If you read carefully, two elements were to light a bulb: " development of multiplayer titles " and " long-term cooperation ". The second sentence, especially, makes us understand that studying Digital Scapes hasn't arrived on the project simply to help the team complete the development, but likely to produce something that will continue to make the title interesting long even after the launch. And what better than a few multiplayer modes released post-launch and that we perhaps see combat with other players through the streets of Night City ? This is obviously just a hypothesis, but we definitely plausible. And what do you think of this possibility?
