Spencer: in 2016 wave of new IP, with Remedy it will speak of the future after Quantum Break

The Xbox division of Microsoft Phil Spencer is always very open to dialogue with users on Twitter, giving us from time to time small glimmers on the future of the Xbox One. In one of these recent discussions dealt with two themes: the vastness of the offering Microsoft in 2016 and the possible development of Alan Wake 2 .

With regard to the first argument, a user asked if the 2016 would be a good year for Xbox, and the Manager has responded that it should be very good. If this is a discounted rate for an Executive who cannot speak well of their product, it is interesting that the motivation for such conviction: Spencer explains that in 2016 Microsoft will release many newer IP (i.e. new games that aren't sequels or remakes of series already known) than they did in recent years.

Obviously refers to titles such as Quantum Break , Scalebound , didn't Recore any , Sea of Thieves , Cuphead , Ashen, Inside and Below, but these could also have other not yet announced, although it is possible that some of these may be unable to see the light in 2016 to be postponed to the following year. One thing is certain: the new IP'S are a good thing for the industry at large, because they bring innovation and creativity and contribute to maintaining high interest of players with new ideas.

Come instead to Remedy: asked about the possibility of a return of Alan Wake , Spencer has said that for now MS and Remedy are fully focused on the completion of Quantum Break but that, once this, we will start to talk about future plans. The manager did not obviously confirmed that Alan Wake will be among these future plans, but with this answer has hinted that there is a real chance, and looked at the great interest of the public it is highly likely that Sam Lake and his companions return to move the wires of the unfortunate writer in New York.

It is however likely to find out we will have to wait many months: it is unlikely that the next E3 Remedy desire already show his cards on his next projects, especially the long development times of the Finnish study. We look forward to new!
