Rumor: Microsoft preparing to open to all app development for Xbox One
This will be done, according to the site, through an update that may allow anyone to transform your Xbox One in a dev kit, which will be accompanied by the release of an SDK for creating app.
According to sources of The Verge, developers can create their own app and drop them in "beta" to prove to the community before then have Microsoft's approval for inclusion in the App Store. News even more interesting is the fact that these applications will also run in the background during the course of the games: This means that, for example, someone could create an app for playing music in the background while we play and without that it is flanked in the game or app that, we shall notify the arrival of new tweets, emails and so on while we do other things.
In short, if this were true it could lead to a real explosion of the console App Store, with many useful applications able to accompany our gaming activity, and perhaps even some little game from the basic interface.
According to the site, the official announcement would be made during the Developer Conference of April: stay tuned for all the details.
