Xbox One: starts releasing March update

Major Nelson has just announced the release of the March update of the Xbox One , which includes a series of improvements to the management of the multiplayer, party chat, friends management and more that will enhance the gaming experience and not only on the platform of the Colossus of Redmond. This update also enables streaming capabilities of all games via Twitch (application will be updated next week). As usual it's a rolling update , which will be released a little at a time to players starting today and in the coming days. If you want to speed up things, make sure you have the console in "quick launch" mode to ensure that the update going dead while turned off.

Multiplayer Party Chat & Improvement:

  • Possibility of cross party chat among several titles
  • Chat Party set by default
  • Simplified the invitation for multiplayer games
  • Simplified entry into multiplayer games
  • Chance to see what they are playing with friends in the party
  • Enhanced Friends list and the profile section

Improving friends list and speed of access:

  • Chance to see the recent games of our friends
  • See what they're sending our friends, with preview thumbnail of streaming direct
  • Access to faster profile
  • Enabled the possibility of entry and invitation for multiplayer games
  • 54 new Gamerpics
  • Support for live streaming with Twitch TV
Support for Twitch TV live streaming:
  • Broadcast on Twitch.TV gameplay through Xbox LIVE (when the app will be updated)
  • Voice support for start and end of transmission ("Xbox, Broadcast"-is not yet known the equivalent Italian)

Social data on the Home screen (user profile panel):

  • Number of friends online favorites
  • Number of friends who are transmitting gameplay
Interface improvements:
  • Improved notification Center and adding a new silent mode
  • Chance to see the game clips side-by-side
  • Protection of profile settings with a password security
Internet browser improvements:
  • When searching for Bing on the console is also a link to see the results in Internet Explorer
  • Quick search after a term on a page
  • Possibility to work in Google maps and Bing both controllers that gestures via Kinect
New devices-drivers and Firmware updates:
  • Firmware update for the Xbox controller, One that will make it compatible stereo headset
  • Driver updates for the Xbox remote control One
SmartGlass Improvements:
  • Push Notification on the device for Xbox Live messages
  • Ability to see what is making our friend online
  • Chance to see the game clips of our friends
  • Possibility to terminate the snap mode (tile) from the device
Live TV:
  • Fix for 50 Hz (more info here )
  • Ability to set how many clicks increase and decrease the volume with voice commands
  • The IR blasting to control volume and power on TV and audio systems is now supported in all regions (a special menu in the settings allows you to set the device brand and model)
Improved audio output support:
  • The SPDIF output (optical audio) now supports Dolby Digital 5.1
  • HDMI output now supports uncompressed stereo uncompressed 7.1 5.1 or uncompressed 5.1 Dolby Digital Live or DTS 5.1
