New information about video recording capabilities of the Xbox One

During the Eurogamer Expo Microsoft has released some interesting information about Upload Studio , Xbox One that will allow us to record footage of the game. First Phil Harrison explained that we will be able to record videos lasting we want, obviously limited to free hard disk space.

The maximum length of 5 minutes emerged in the past is only relative to the "back-tracking", i.e. the automatic recording and steady the last 5 minutes of play without the player had to issue the command. But if we want to start the recording of a gaming session that we are about to begin, this will last as long as we want, without time limits.

It was then shown how we can add our comments to videos. After you register we will have the opportunity to review and comment on the gameplay: Kinect will record our image and voice and will put in the movie, a small pane of the screen (or we can decide to record the solo voice). Once that is done, we can choose to upload the video on Microsoft's servers and keep it private, share it only with friends or make it public.

Microsoft has explained in recent days, moreover, that the launch of the console video loading will be limited to the Xbox, but during the next few months will also have the ability to upload them on YouTube or Facebook.

Update : Microsoft has confirmed to Game Informer that the maximum recording duration is 5 minutes, and this has created some confusion. Actually the one to which they relate is the recording buffer ", i.e. the gameplay ever recorded retroactively from the console while playing. The comment by Phil Harrison on unlimited recording time is instead on the registration "proactive", i.e. when the Player opens the Upload and select "record all my gameplay from now on." The picture below shows the two options: recording the last 5 minutes and unlimited recording starts.
