Yusuf Mehdi back on sharing of games between other 10 players

Only a few days ago we were dealing with the question of sharing the games with an official release by Microsoft; Today we think ArsTechnica with an interesting interview with Yusuf Mehdi, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for MS, back on the hot topic. Let's see together what points emerged.

  • To share the game with others, it is not necessary that they are close family members, since it would not be possible to prove the identity of their consanguineous.
  • To share the game with other people, you don't need to live in the same house the actual owner and use the same console.
  • You can share the game even with folks who live on the other side of the globe with respect to our position. Anyone can be nonimato as "member of the family, close friends and contacts.
  • At the time of first installation of console, Xbox One will ask the owner what other accounts will connect the console and these profiles will be precisely those "family" to share everything. Of course we can remove or add other accounts at will, even after installation.
  • The game that is shared with others can be played by only one person at a time. This means that you will not be able to play simultaneously in the same way as if you chose to share it with others.
  • Loan management and/or sharing of games will be much simpler, since it does not require any Exchange. In addition, there is the advantage of being able to make loans and also shares out of their region, choosing to make friends overseas operations or in other parts of Europe.
  • Microsoft is aware of the great change that is making and will devote much time to make everyone understand how to work the new mechanisms. The aim is to move forward in the world of gaming on consoles and make a transition to the digital marketplace.
  • With the ability to have different license models, publishers will be able to play in the Customize how your titles can be purchased, played, and shared. There will be limited only to have games free-to-play or classic titles from 60 euro: in the future, there will be many alternative ways without adopting the two extremes.
  • Microsoft will support the second hand market, but publishers should be guaranteed a slice of the action for their work. As well as piracy brings developers ' coffers any money, even the second hand market does not guarantee cash revenue for them.
  • Mehdi has clarified that all opinions are heard and players that all categories of consumers, especially those which lay emphasis on policies of the Xbox One, remain important and strategic. It is just make everyone understand how the system works.
