Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown shows itself in a new in-depth video
The narrative heart of the expansion takes up the stories of Kliff, Damiane and Oongka, who this time will take separate paths to each build their own destiny. In the course of their travels they will cross old acquaintances and new faces, both allies and threats, in a path that will lead each of them to trace their own course.
Alongside the stories of the protagonists, the DLC introduces the Great Ocean of Pywel with a dedicated narrative line. To venture into the open sea we will first have to unlock shipbuilding, collect the materials necessary to assemble our boat and customize it at will. Once we have set sail we will be able to reach islands with distinct characteristics, where enemy forces await us to defeat, new strongholds to found together with fellow Greymanes and rewards reserved for those who dare to go beyond known borders. Not everything, however, is found on the surface: thanks to new underwater movement modes we will be able to dive into the waves in search of submerged ruins, treasures and resources.
Charting the Unknown also expands the more everyday side of life in Pywel. By gaining the trust of some characters we will have the opportunity to weave a romantic relationship with them, which can even result in marriage, while the closest companions will occasionally come to visit us at Camp Greymane to spend time together, making it much more lively. The housing system has also been profoundly revised: in addition to the interior furnishings, we will be able to design our home starting from the foundations, deciding where to place walls, windows and other structural elements. Not only that, because some castles, once liberated, can be claimed and decorated internally, transforming a hard-won fortress into a real home.
Those who love the management aspect will find bread for their teeth in the possibility of renting structures scattered around Pywel, to which they can assign companions and equipment. It will be up to us to choose which goods to sell and how to conduct each activity, with the aim of increasing fame and profits. A new challenge is dedicated to the more experienced fighters, which will put us in front of a series of particularly powerful bosses from all over Pywel, to be faced one after the other.
Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown will be available from October 29 at 23:00 Italian time, and pre-orders are already open. Those who pre-order the DLC will receive the Navigator's Dive Set and the Navigator's Light Dive Set as a bonus, to show off in-game.
We leave you now to the presentation video, enjoy!
