Castlevania: Belmont's Curse shows itself in a new trailer
The footage sports the legendary Bloody Tears theme music, first heard in Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest and rearranged here in a particularly careful rearrangement, which punctuates Rose Belmont's clashes in a devastated medieval Paris.
The video then presents us with several important opponents, starting with Death, who promises our heroine to see her again in Hell, to continue with a golem and a flying vampire boss capable of splitting into multiple forms. However, Evil Empire has kept the biggest surprise for the closure of the sequence: Dracula finally appears on the scene, sitting on his throne, and pronounces a mysterious farewell addressed to a member of the Belmont clan, without it being clarified whether the recipient is Rose or her father Trevor.
Designed as a direct heir to the 2D chapters of the series, the adventure is set in 1499, twenty-three years after the events of Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse. Here we follow the journey of Rose Belmont, Trevor's daughter, in a French capital in flames, invaded by creatures that have escaped from a sinister castle, moving within a real metroidvania structure.
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse will arrive on October 15 at a price of 29.99 Euros, and you can learn more about it in our hands-on preview from gamescom. We leave you now to the new trailer, enjoy!
