The Expanse: Osiris Reborn announces a Closed Beta and shows us the gameplay
In addition to the new trailer, the developers have announced the opening of a Closed Beta scheduled for April 22nd. In order to participate in this test phase and try the game in preview, we will have to have purchased the Collector's Edition or the Miller's Pack through the official website of the project. This test will allow us to explore a remote space station operated by Pinkwater Security immediately after our escape from the tragic events of Eros, giving us a first taste of the combat system, movements in zero gravity and survival dynamics in deep space.
In The Expanse: Osiris Reborn we will play the role of a Pinkwater mercenary involved in a plot full of choices and consequences. Although the game is set in the same universe as the books and TV series, we will face an original story focused on new characters and travel companions. Our main goal will be to put together a team capable of countering the Protogen and their dangerous experiments, juggling dynamic third-person combat and branching dialogues that will influence the progress of our mission.
Being a narrative-driven action RPG, we will have the opportunity to interact with different inhabitants of the space station and to experiment with the mechanics of customization and upgrading of our equipment. The beta phase will be used by the development team to collect valuable feedback from users, so we will have to keep in mind that this is still a work in progress and that the performance may not reflect the final quality of the product.
We leave you to the video: enjoy!
