MMO Albion Online comes to Xbox, complete with cross-play with PC version
The arrival of Albion Online on Xbox will not involve any compromise compared to the PC version: we will have access to the game world in its entirety, being able to explore all the existing servers, master every single mechanic and wield the entire arsenal available. To ensure a smooth transition, the team worked on a number of platform-specific adjustments. In fact, we will be able to count on control schemes tailored to the pad, with an improved combat and aiming system, flanked by convenient radial menus and new communication tools. The user interfaces of the Market and Inventory have also been completely reworked, and for those who prefer it, there will still be full support for mouse and keyboard.
Another big selling point of this version is the cross-platform infrastructure. If we already have active characters, we will only have to link the Albion Online account to our Xbox profile to resume the game without losing progress, jumping freely from the couch, PC or smartphone at any time. If, on the other hand, we decide to start our adventure for the first time directly on consoles, we will be able to dive into the action in a few seconds without any obligation to create a specific account for the game, in any case maintaining the option to register it later to unlock all the advantages related to cross-play.
Finally, to celebrate this important milestone, an original and nice live action video made in collaboration with the group Oddest of the Odd has been released. The footage shows us a brave knight intent on embarking on a dangerous journey into the Depths, equipped only with a strong steel sword and accompanied by a chicken. We just have to wait for April to be able to start our new adventure pad in hand!
