Forza Horizon 6: Playground showcases 10 new features coming to the game

With the release on May 19 getting closer and closer, the desire for new information on Forza Horizon 6 is getting stronger. That's why Playground Games has published today a rich article on the game's official website, listing in detail the ten new features that will characterize our adventure in Japan.

The first big news obviously concerns the setting: the developers have confirmed that we will be able to explore iconic places in Japan, immersing ourselves in the center of Tokyo between Shibuya Crossing, Ginko Avenue and the Tokyo Tower.

There will be no shortage of roads inspired by the C1 circuit and famous mountain passes such as Mount Haruna and Bandai Azuma. We will obviously find the return of the seasons, now with even more marked variations than in the past, but the big news is that, regardless of the current season, we will be able to find snow-covered alpine peaks all year round, on which to race with snow tires.

As for progression, in Forza Horizon 6 we will see the return of Wristbands and the introduction of Horizon Rush events: these are real obstacle courses located in evocative places such as the piers of Tokyo, necessary to level up and become a Horizon Legend.

The social aspect has also been enhanced with new meeting points integrated into the game world without loading screens. We will be able to participate in the "Time Attack Circuits" to set the fastest lap and earn credits, in the "Car Meets" to show off our liveries and buy other users' cars, or in the "Drag Meets" for immediate drag races.

One of the most interesting additions concerns the possibility of "building a life" in Japan. We will have fully customizable garages and an estate ("The Estate") to furnish and build directly in the open world. Great attention will also be paid to shared creativity: through the Horizon CoLab function, the EventLab editor will support multiplayer construction, allowing up to 12 friends to create structures together.

Exploring the map, moreover, we will be able to come across rare "Aftermarket" cars parked around, which we can test and buy, often at a discounted price, to enrich our collection with unique pieces.

On the pure gameplay front, Playground Games has introduced an optional Proximity Radar , designed to help us spot cars in blind spots and avoid unintentional collisions, ensuring cleaner races especially with the internal view.

Immersion will also be guaranteed by a totally revised audio sector: thanks to Triton Acoustics technology and recordings made on site during all seasons, the game will offer realistic spatial reverberation based on the position of objects.

The list of ten new features is completed by improvements to customization and animations. Finally, after many requests from the community, it will be possible to apply liveries on the windows and mount different rims between the front and rear axles, with the addition of visual wear of the tires based on the kilometers traveled. For those who play with an interior view, the steering wheel animation has also been updated, which now covers up to 540 degrees of rotation.

Finally, Playground reminds us that Forza Horizon 6 will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title: by purchasing the digital version on console or Windows PC you can play on both platforms while maintaining saves and progress, including handheld PCs such as ROG Ally. Full cross-play and cross-save between the Xbox and Steam ecosystem is also confirmed, as well as the arrival on Day One in Game Pass Ultimate.
