AMD confirms the release of the new Xbox in 2027
The new hardware will be equipped with a semi-custom SoC (system-on-a-chip) made specifically by AMD. This collaboration is part of the long-term strategic plan signed between the two companies in 2025, which aims to create a complete line of processors optimized for gaming. The goal is to combine the power of Ryzen and Radeon architectures to support not only home consoles, but also portable devices, PCs and infrastructure dedicated to the cloud.
Financial analysis also reveals an interesting fact on the life cycle of the current generation: AMD expects a double-digit decline in console chip revenues during 2026. This physiological flexibility suggests that the market will begin to prepare for the transition to the new machine in the year before the debut.
Although there are still several years to go, the promise of Microsoft and AMD is to exceed the goals achieved so far, offering technologies designed to guarantee top-level performance on every platform where we can play the titles of the Xbox family. We look forward to finding out more!
