Marvel's Blade: Arkane Lyon is extremely satisfied, it's a special game

Arkane Lyon, the French studio behind Dishonored and Deathloop, said he was extremely satisfied with the development of Marvel's Blade, the new action game dedicated to the Diurno, the vampire hunter (and himself half vampire) of the House of Ideas.

It all started with a joking request that appeared on X (formerly Twitter), where a content creator asked the team for an update on the development as a "Christmas gift". Surprisingly, Dinga Bakaba, Studio and Co-Creative Director of Arkane, responded to the appeal, offering important reassurances. Bakaba confirmed that the work is progressing at full speed and that the entire team is working hard, saying they are "super proud" of what they are accomplishing. According to the director, the developers are outdoing themselves to create what he calls a "special game".

However, Bakaba invited us gamers to be patient: the studio's goal is to achieve very high quality standards, both to meet its ambitions and the expectations of the public. Recall that the actual production phase of Marvel's Blade began at the end of 2024 and, fortunately, was not impacted by the layoffs that affected the sector.

The title promises to be a single-player third-person action experience set in the heart of Paris. We will take on the role of the legendary "Daytime" Eric Brooks, exploring an original story that will see us act inside a quarantine zone in the French capital, while a supernatural emergency threatens to overwhelm the city. We just have to wait for further official details from Arkane and Bethesda!
