Xbox Next Gen: Sarah Bond teases a "very premium and high-end" console
In a recent interview with the YouTube channel Mashable, Bond called the new hardware in development "a very premium and high-end experience", suggesting a powerful but potentially expensive machine, launching yet another starting point for discussion after months of controversy.
Bond had been asked about the future of Xbox consoles, with the host mentioning rumors that the next machine will be a console/PC hybrid capable of making us play a large library of games; The manager did not want to confirm the rumors or reveal technical details, but used very specific words: "Very premium, high-end and well-finished".
This choice of terms obviously immediately attracted attention, because it suggests that Xbox could move further towards the high end of the market, perhaps moving away from the convenience strategy that defined the Xbox Series S. Bond also added that some of the philosophy behind the next generation is already visible in the Xbox Ally, hinting at deeper integration with Windows, AI features, or a more unified ecosystem approach.
For now we can only speculate, but should we perhaps prepare to spend, for the next console, much more than we are used to as console players? We hope that clarity will be clarified as soon as possible.
