Hideo Kojima has finally revealed the gameplay of OD, the mysterious Xbox project originally announced in 2022. During the "Beyond the Strand" showcase, a short video was shown, which finally brings some concrete details about this new horror adventure.

The game, also known as Overdose, is in development for Microsoft and will boast an exceptional cast: among the confirmed actors we find Sophia Lillis (IT: Chapter One) and Hunter Schafer (Euphoria), while none other than Jordan Peele, Oscar-nominated horror director, collaborates on the script. Kojima himself has repeatedly reiterated that OD will not be a simple video game, but a new form of entertainment.

The trailer shows us first-person sequences with the protagonist played by Lillis, intent on moving around her apartment between disturbing knocks on the door and lit candles to gain courage, until the inevitable encounter with a mysterious figure. At the end of the video appears the title OD: Knock, the first "episode" of this universe: Kojima is working on Knock, while Peele will take care of another chapter not yet revealed.

For the legendary game designer it is a return to the horror genre, after the famous experience with P.T., the playable teaser of Silent Hills that never came to fruition. Is it time to finally give shape to that interrupted nightmare? The atmosphere of OD: Knock seems to have all the credentials not to disappoint.
