Illfonic announces Halloween: The Game, produced by John Carpenter

The Illfonic studio today announced Halloween: The Game, a new stealth-horror game both single and multiplayer dedicated to the famous 1978 film and which sees the direct involvement of John Carpenter as Executive Producer of the project.

This new videogame experience will allow us to fully immerse ourselves in the distressing atmosphere created by John Carpenter. We will be able to choose whether to take on the role of the fearsome Michael Myers, with the aim of hunting down the inhabitants of Haddonfield, or join the Civilians in a desperate attempt to stop his murderous rampage and save as many people as possible before it's too late.

The gameplay will change radically depending on the role chosen. Playing as Civilians, we will have to sneak through the shadows, alert the residents of the impending danger and look for a way to contact the authorities. In the role of Michael Myers, however, our aim will be to sow terror, exploiting the darkness and cutting the telephone lines to prevent help from arriving. The title will offer a single-player story mode, the ability to play offline against bots and, of course, an online multiplayer mode. In any case, strategy, stealth and skill will be key elements to prevail.

The developers of IllFonic have assured that they have recreated the disturbing setting of Haddonfield with the utmost fidelity, reproducing authentic maps and locations from the original film. All this will be accompanied by an evocative atmosphere and a soundtrack inspired by the famous one of the film, with the aim of offering a horror experience capable of capturing both historical fans of the franchise and new generations of players. So we just have to wait until 2026 to be able to enter the streets of Haddonfield again.
